The original painting by Vincent Van Gogh is where my inspiration came from. Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists, and this piece truly shows his artistic style. This is one of the first pieces using oil paint on canvas. Not only did I make and stretch the canvas myself but also used many layers of paint to give the waves dimension. Being also one of my first times using a palette knife I was able to easily adapt to the new materials, and overall happy with the result!
